The Witcher 4 released a cool new trailer at The Game Awards last week, and while its hype is now at its peak, we may have to wait a while before we step into Ciri's path.
However, if you're itching to get a taste of role-playing as a grown-up monster-killing version of everyone's favorite kid of the Elder Blood right now, The Witcher 3 modders are looking at the case, and one of them just got The Witcher 4″ Director Sebastian Kalumba personally gave a thumbs up.

Inspired by the new life for Ciri shown in The Game Awards trailer, modder Forlornsito decided to create “The Witcher 4 Concept Ciri – Toxic Mutant”. Basically, its goal is to make Ciri look like she does in the TW4 trailer by changing her gear and appearance from The Witcher 3.
“I wanted to create something similar to the new adult mutant wizard Ciri used in the game and original assets…” the modder wrote. “The blue eyes were taken directly from the trailer, I enlarged them and added them in The textures were fixed in Photoshop. I know there are some differences between the outfits, but overall I think my outfits are very similar and you will be the judges.”
They also add that you may notice some visual glitches with Ciri's chainmail and hood, something that's usually to be expected with the development of mods like this – especially when they've just been released of. The Witcher 4 director Kalemba didn't seem to mind, sharing the mod in a tweet declaring “No way, the community delivers as always!!!”

If you're playing a regular copy of The Witcher 3, then you should be able to play as this new look of Ciri during the usual main story missions, letting you take her place, and of course, she'll look just like The Witcher 4 as well. You meet her in the world and as Geralt in a cutscene.
That said, assuming they're compatible, using a mod like “Better Call Ciri” should give you a taste of free-roaming the continent as The Witcher 4's protagonist. Obviously you won't be able to use the new abilities, and all the other stuff that comes with her correct setup in the new game, but it's cool regardless.
Additionally, another modder named Apzurv has recreated Ciri's sword in the TW3 trailer, so there's something else you can try adding to your Witcher mods.
Among the many rumors surrounding The Witcher 4 following the release of the trailer, CD Projekt has confirmed that Ciri will have a new voice in the game, courtesy of Ciara Berkeley and not TW3 actress Jo Wyatt
