While we speculate that Capcom’s mysterious, long-developed game, pragmatic, will probably appear on the Capcom Showcase, many people don’t even remember.well, pragmatism done A new trailer has popped up, but it’s pretty much just a reminder of its existence.
The trailer is pretty brief, with less than a minute of new footage. But it did reveal that the game has been delayed indefinitely.
The focus of the trailer seems to be information from the development team at the end. But the footage also establishes what happens next, with the kid asking, “Are we not there yet?” to which the protagonist responds, “Sorry, kid. We’ve got a long way to go.”
“It is with a heavy heart that we must further delay the release of Pragmata,” the message read. “Our team is currently working hard to make the best game possible, but we need more time.”
We did get a glimpse of the action, though, and there seemed to be a mix of melee and shooting as we traveled through what looked like a space station and protected the girls.
Obviously we didn’t even get the release target, we do hope it doesn’t turn into this generation’s Deep Down, another Capcom vaporware.
Pragmata was originally unveiled at the PlayStation Showcase in summer 2020 and announced for a 2022 release. Last year, Capcom delayed the game until 2023, but it didn’t mention it until this week’s presentation.
