If you want to learn more about the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remakeyou’re in luck because you get to view the full 12 minutes of content.
Game Informer recently shared an exclusive look at Resident Evil 4 Remake, specifically a 12-minute gameplay video showing off some of Chapter 5’s content. This chapter is set after Leon meets Ashley, and provides a nice non-stop segment to help you understand what you’re doing if you plan to start the game.
Gameplay shows Leon and Ashley traveling together through the church and cemetery areas while fending off enemies. Notably, Ashley has changed a lot. In the original game, she had a health bar, which she doesn’t have anymore. That doesn’t mean she can’t take damage, as if she takes enough damage, she’ll go into a downed state that needs to be revived. If she gets hit while she’s down, she’ll die, so, you know, make sure to take care of her.
The gameplay still looks pretty intense so far, though the rain does seem a bit visually overwhelming during this particular play sequence. Of course, you’ll find classic Resi inventory management, so you don’t have to worry that it’s not a real Resi game. Though the question remains of whether the franchise’s biggest problem can be fixed.
The game promises to be a powerful remake of the beloved classic, which iGamesNews researched last year. “In Resident Evil 4 Remake, however, Leon’s melee weapons are a lot more fun,” Kelsey wrote at the time. “It took me a minute to get the hang of it, but once I got the hang of it, it was more of a bloody feast.” The Resident Evil 4 remake was announced last June after long rumors about the project , currently scheduled to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24.
