Capcom has carried out some trademark registration frenzy.

Capcom Many classic franchises have applied for trademark registration in Japan. Chizai Watch discovered the list, including names such as Dino Crisis, Vapire (Darkstalkers), Bionic Commando, and more.

As you can see, these are all new game franchises not seen in years. So it's hard to believe that Capcom is working on new entries in these series, as your typical ownership maintenance publisher is more likely to use its hibernation IP.

This is not to say that Capcom is definitely Some classics cannot be restored. The recent success of Resident Evil 2 Remake has reinvigorated publishers, so we may get a similar renaissance for these games.
