Capcom’s Exoprimal Has Both Dinosaurs and Crisis (But Not a New Dinosaur Crisis)

Capcoms, Crisis, Dinosaur, Dinosaurs, Exoprimal

Capcom Announced today game state Show it’s working on a new dinosaur action game Playstation 4 and game console 5. It’s called Exoprimal and it looks ridiculous.

This game – it’s a brand new original IP – is definitely not news Dino Crisis… despite the fact that it’s as much a dinosaur as it is an urban crisis. According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, it will launch in 2023.

Given the text in the trailer that mentions PlayStation Plus, it stands to reason that we’ll be able to play online cooperatively with friends in an attempt to fight off the Jurassic invasion. It appears that squads of four will be able to fight together, but that’s yet to be determined.

“Let’s set the stage first: the year is 2043. For unknown reasons, a mysterious vortex has been opening, unleashing an endless swarm of dinosaurs in the modern world,” reads the title description. “We’re about to see a vicious struggle for survival in the near future between brave alien warriors and ferocious creatures from the distant past that threaten humanity’s extinction.”

You’d be forgiven for thinking it’s partly Anthem-inspired — all this mechanics and all this third-person perspective really makes it look like EA’s botched shared-world shooter. Maybe a little bit of Left 4 Dead.

The game will top the PS4 and PS5, with no other platforms announced yet.
