Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess was previously revealed in another Xbox event and was the highlight of today’s event. Let yourself be carried away by the story, which is heavily inspired by Japanese folklore.
Capcom hasn’t been idle lately. While Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out this month, the Japanese giant already has another unique project in the works: Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. The action game, which is particularly influenced by Japanese folklore, caused a stir again this evening at the Xbox Partner Preview.
An invitation to travel to Japan with Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess
Fans of Japanese folklore will be particularly excited about this new game from Capcom. It was certainly fascinating when it was first presented during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023. More prosaically, it is an action game whose gameplay is very reminiscent of that of the Onimusha franchise. We were able to see this better in the gameplay trailer below.
We play Soh and live on the legendary Mount Kafuku. As it is corrupted by a dark presence, our hero must recover the 12 masks and their powers to restore balance. This sets the stage for an exciting journey into the heart of Japanese folklore. In any case, Kunitsu-Gami’s enchanting art direction will hardly leave you indifferent.
However, you need to have some patience before you can try it out. In fact, the title is expected on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Game Pass and PS5 sometime in 2024. Unfortunately, we do not have any further details at this time.
