Behold here, the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, showing us what to expect when Anthony Mackie once again picks up the shield and fights bad guys in the name of America.
All the big names get plenty of time in the first trailer for the film, which is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025. From Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, to Danny Ramirez as Falcon, and even a beard-less Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunder” Ross. Oh, and at the end of the trailer, we get a quick glimpse at Red Hulk, because who doesn’t need a color change once in a while.

Like all good trailers, this one basically gives us a nice snapshot of the film’s story, with Ford’s Ross calling out Sam Wilson and proposing to make Captain America an official tool of the U.S. military, something Wilson clearly doesn’t like. Maybe because Ross also explains why he shaved his beard at the same time, who knows?
Throughout the story, the two men are sparring, and we see a lot of action, with Captain America swinging his shield and a lot of things getting shot, broken, or exploded, just like they often do in movies or video games.

Additionally, Giancarlo Esposito seems to be positioned as the main villain, which could hint at some pretty big rewrites taking place, as he’s a relatively new actor – at least in terms of confirmation – and only recently filmed his scenes.
Then, there’s the big finale – Red Hulk. We only see him grab Captain America’s shield and throw it to the ground, so it looks like this could be the big fight that Brave New World is bringing us.
You might ask, why is the Hulk now red? Well, maybe because he knows there’s a new Shrek the Monsters movie in the works, and he doesn’t want Captain America to take psychological advantage of him by taunting him by yelling at him to “get out of my swamp!” That’s our take, and we’ll stick with it.
Okay, stop yelling, we know this is what Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross is doing.
