After six months of patches, a series of court cases and strong public opposition, CD project CEO Adam Kiciński believes Cyberpunk 2077 It is at a “satisfactory level.”
At the WSE Innovation Day conference attended by TVN24 (via VGC), Kiciński commented that CD Projekt is satisfied with the level of quality the game has achieved since its disastrous release last year.
When asked about the stability and performance of the game about six months after its release, Kiciński replied: “We have reached a satisfactory level in this regard.
“We have also been working to improve the overall quality, and we are very happy about it. Of course, we have also removed errors and visual glitches, and we will continue to do so. Over time, we will also emphasize the general gameplay to players The system is improved.”
So this bodes well for the future. But it’s not easy to get to this stage: According to reports, employees raised unrealistic expectations from management at an internal meeting, the studio’s reputation was hit hard, and CD Projekt’s profits fell sharply in the first quarter of 2021. .
But maybe you will understand why Kiciński is so bold: this week’s “Cyberpunk 2077” returns to the PlayStation store, which marks the end of the eight months that the game was absent from the Sony storefront. After the game’s errors and instability became clear, Sony removed “Cyberpunk 2077” from the PS Store, but Microsoft chose to continue selling the game, despite modifying the refund method.
In addition to being available again on the PlayStation platform, we also heard last week that Microsoft has confirmed that its Cyberpunk 2077 refund program will resume the company’s more standard refund policy for digitally purchased games on July 6.
If you want to try it yourself, we have written a guide on how to try and ask for an Xbox refund.
To date, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold at least 13 million copies.
