Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Freedom There’s still no release date, but CD Projekt Red says we’ll start hearing more about it this June.
CD Projekt announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would be getting a massive expansion called Phantom Freedom last year, and it was later revealed that the one and only Idris Elba is the next celebrity actor to appear in the cyberpunk universe. We haven’t really seen or heard much about it since then, but the official Cyberpunk 2077 tweet earlier this week mentioned the DLC again, promising that we’ll start getting more in June of this year. More info about it.

“ICYMI, we will start talking about Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Freedom this June,” the tweet read. “exist [Summer Games Fest]: Play Days, where we will be offering hands-on sessions for media and content creators. We also plan to provide plenty of hands-on opportunities for our community in the future, so stay tuned! ”
Of course, fans wanted to know what “practice opportunities in our community” meant, and in response to questions about that, twitter account clarification That means its “community will also have the opportunity to play the game ahead of launch.” How this will happen, whether through a demo or otherwise, is unclear. But if you’re on the fence about returning to the cyberpunk world, at least you can give the DLC a try.
The DLC is only planned for PC and current-gen consoles, namely the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, meaning anyone who plays PS4 or Xbox One won’t be able to play the DLC. This is similar to this year’s Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC, which was only released on PS5, although the base game was also released on PS4 when it launched last year, so it’s a little unfortunate for previous generation players.
