Pokémon Go Next week we will bid farewell to the Year of the Tiger and welcome the Year of the Rabbit, the annual Lunar New Year.
Because it is the Year of the Rabbit, Bunnelby and Buneary will appear more frequently in the wild. You can look forward to other wild activity-themed Pokémon hatching from Eggs in raids.
During the event, you will have a higher chance to encounter flashing Dharma cards, have a chance to get lucky Pokémon through trading, and have a better chance to become lucky friends.
The in-game event will take place from January 19th to 23rd from 10am to 8pm local time, and the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Ponyta, Magmar, Magikarp, Slugma, Numel, Combee, Buneary, Fennekin and Bunnelby. Everything can be shiny except Fennekin.
You might even meet Flareon and Darumaka.
Event rewards include 2× Stardust from opening gifts, an additional special deal up to twice a day, and you can choose from a variety of rewards as timed research, lucky wish rewards.
Lucky Wishes features branch-timed research to fulfill your wishes for rewards around hatching eggs, daily adventure incense durations, or collecting stardust. The path you choose will determine the rewards and quests you earn during the event.
Regardless of which path you choose, completing research will reward you with lucky eggs and other items. You’ll also have the chance to meet the following Pokémon: Magikarp, Azumarill, Combusken, Darumaka, Galarian Darumaka, and Bunnelby.
During the event, the following Pokémon will be hatched from 7km eggs: Qing Ling, Riolu, Damoca, Galar Damoca, and Scraggy. Riolu, Darumaka and Galarian Darumaka can also glow.
If you like raids, the one-star raids for this time period will have Hisuian Voltorb, Shinx, Darumaka, and Galarian Darumaka. Three-star raids will see you battle Flareon, Shuckle, Blaziken, Druddigon and Diggersby.
The five-star Raid boss will be Regice (or? Where is Raykon sitting?), while Lopunny will be the Mega Raid boss – both can shine.
Completing the Field Research mission will see the following Pokémon spawn: Charmander, Paras, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Combee, Buneary, Tepig, Darumaka, Galarian Darumaka, Fennekin, Bunnelby, and Litten.
As always, you can also expect new stickers to be placed on postcards, and a new purchasable avatar item will be a Red Lantern Backpack.
