At the CES 2023 in L as Vegas, all kinds of exciting tech innovations are being presented these days and of course the wacky things should not be missing. In addition to all the TVs, tablets, robots and whatnot, something completely new is refreshing at times.
In recent years, LG has repeatedly attracted attention with its unusual technical innovations. For example, the LG Wing with its rotating screen was a unique idea and the latest innovation is certainly similarly unusual as LG wants to make your kitchen party-ready.

MoodUp – The refrigerator with LED lighting
Very colourful, eye-catching and above all enormous, the fridge has large LED-backlit panels that can be customized at will to give your kitchen a personal touch.
According to LG, MoodUp will be the order of the day 190,000 different possible combinations have for color display. The feature should be controlled via the in-house ThinQ app.
And in case you were wondering if the adjustable lights are the only thing so “party” about the fridge. The answer is: No! The MoodUp also comes with integrated Bluetooth boxes. Loudspeakers and LED panels can also be synchronized. For example, it changes colors to the beat of the music.
Not only party – also function
In addition to the functions for spontaneous dancing while cooking, there are other special features. If the refrigerator door is left open, a panel will flash to sound an alarm.
The LG functions Instaview and Craft Ice are also included. With the former, the fridge’s door becomes transparent as soon as it is touched, which allows us to see inside without opening it. The latter describes the integrated ice cube machine that produces round ice cubes.
Similar to other smart light solutions, the MoodUp can be controlled via an app and can also be put into a night mode in which the lights are off or only shine very dimly.
