The manga of One Piece is back for another week with a good amount of content and full of very interesting information. Eiichiro Oda has once again left everyone speechless and has left us with a final panel that has become, once again, an instant classic of the work.
The chapter begins with last week’s cliffhanger: the Gorosei destroy the iron giant to cut off Vegapunk’s transmission, which ends with a revelation about the D. According to Oda, we probably won’t know more details for several chapters.
Little by little, the members of the Straw Hat crew are escaping from Egghead, an island almost destroyed by the Gorosei and where only the Mother Flame remains. Nami and company wait for the ship to fly out to sea to join the giants, while Luffy has eaten meat to regain strength.
At this moment, Marcus, turned into It was made, tries to destroy the ship by breathing fire. However, Luffy, with his renewed energy, transforms into Nika. This motivates Bonney, who idolizes this God, to try to help, although he doubts he is up to the task. Luffy tells her that the version she sees is the one she has when he “feels liberated.”
Motivated, Bonney uses her fruit to perform the distorted future technique, creating “A Future Where She Feels Free”, i.e. JoyBoy. The chapter ends with a panel in which Kuma and Luffy’s stepdaughter have their Gear 5 activated, which the iron giant senses, confirming JoyBoy’s return.
