Chapter 1124 of the One Piece manga bids farewell to old acquaintances to begin another adventure that aims to be decisive

After assuming that the Egghead arc had practically come to an end, Eiichiro Oda wanted to close some loose ends and then open some more in the most recent chapter of the manga. Luffy and his nakamas, the Straw Hat crew, have already set off for their new destination in One Piece, but not before looking back and reflecting on everything that happened on Future Island.

The chapter begins with a Luffy somewhat saddened by the supposed death of Vegapunk, since he thought he could have saved his life, when in reality his death was inevitable. That is why, after talking to some of his companions, the Straw Hat realized that he did the right thing.

After this, we see how Akainuenraged, accuses a Kizaru of letting the Mugiwara escape and of not being loyal to the Navy, something to which Borsalino responds angrily. As he tells the Fleet Admiral through tears, he would not have killed his best friend (Vegapunk) if it had not been for the Navy’s orders.

After this scene, we return to the Straw Hat crew celebrating that they are already on their way to their new destination, Elbaf

which is set to be one of the most important locations in the entire series. However, it seems that there is already someone waiting there, someone we don’t know yet, but who will surely be a character who will give us a lot to talk about.
