Alexa from Amazon is not only a smart assistant, but can also be manipulated with a cheat code like the Nintendo console used to be. This is how you unlock the secret power-up.

Alexa responds to voice commands of any kind, but your voice input does not give the Amazon assistant in your Echo any special powers. Unless you know the secret cheat code – Alexa parries it just as easily as an old Nintendo console.
Some of you will still remember: With console classics like “Mortal Kombat”, pressing a certain button combination (Konami code) on the controller unlocked pretty much everything that was otherwise difficult to earn.
All secret bonus characters, the best weapons or unlimited extra lives – cheat codes didn’t necessarily make games more exciting in the past, but they often made them more fun. The situation is very similar with the cheat for Alexa, which you can activate as follows:

Get within earshot of your Echo or other Alexa device and get ready to read the following command flawlessly: “Alexa (or equivalent wake word) … up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start.”
Now Alexa rewards you with the MIDI soundscape of an old slot machine, various extra lives, additional game speed… and suddenly seems to crash.
