GTA 5 Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S tomorrow with a brand new ray tracing Graphics options. Players looking to see Los Santos from a fresh perspective will be able to toggle this option in-game, and get pretty flashy visuals even in a game that’s nearly a decade old.
If you want to see a little bit of this ray tracing in action, we’ve embedded a short 10-minute video above showing the feature in action in all kinds of weather. Whether it’s light rain, sunny days, wet roads, or a downpour, the effects of ray tracing are everywhere.
If ray tracing isn’t your thing, GTA 5 offers three total graphics settings and there’s sure to be something you’ll love, whether it’s a fidelity mode (capped at 30 FPS to make the game as beautiful as possible), or a performance mode that locks FPS at 60 for a smoother gaming experience.
This new version of GTA 5 with all its new gorgeous graphics features doesn’t increase the file size too much either, just 11GB more than the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Good news for those afraid of having to clear console storage in preparation for porting.
If this all sounds great, you can now buy and pre-install GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for a fraction of the price. This only lasts until June 14, though, so you’ll have to decide whether to join soon.
