When a game has a successful release, there is usually cause for celebration among fans and developers alike.
In the case of Last Epoch, both sides are currently rather dissatisfied. Because of its great success, the action role-playing game is currently still struggling with major server problems. The game director of the Diablo competitor has now commented on the current situation.
If you haven’t noticed how good Last Epoch has become, our test will help you:
Surprised by the onslaught despite simulations
Judd Cobler, game director and founder of the development studio Eleventh Hour Games, commented on the current problems surrounding Last Epoch’s servers on Reddit.

In a detailed article he explains, among other things, that: Within 20 minutes of launch, 150,000 players wanted to join the servers – a rush that overwhelmed the infrastructure. The team had made preparations in advance, but as Cobler himself explains:
[Der Erfolg] meant that all of our scaling tests were immediately put to the test and unfortunately a service failed in a way we hadn’t anticipated and we immediately went to work to investigate and resolve the issue.

As well matured as milk
Judd Cobler also demonstrates self-deprecation by pointing to one Reddit-Post which he had written just the day before and in which he wrote:
From the extensive testing we’ve done, it should be stable unless we have really crazy demand. […] We have prepared intensively and have every reason to believe that we will be in good shape on launch day.
Cobler himself draws the conclusion: His contribution as well ripened as milk
On the other hand, the column of our plus pope Peter Bathge will probably mature as well as a noble Brunello. He explains to you why Last Epoch comes at exactly the right time for him:
Of course, we have already prepared other exciting and informative articles about Last Epoch for you. In the articles linked above you will find out why the Steam reviews are increasingly penalizing the game and how you can reach level 100 with your character in no time.
The server stability has at least improved somewhat in the meantime. Have you already been able to play Last Epoch extensively and if so, how much or less do you like the action role-playing game? Feel free to write it to us in the comments!
