Starfield is no longer the most popular game on Steam.This title now belongs to children of the forest.
That’s according to SteamDB (thanks to ComicBook), which lists Endnight Games survival horror at 187,986 wishlists and Starfield at 183,004.
Children of the Forest is the highly anticipated sequel to Children of the Forest, and in our opinion, it’s a great game.
In the game, you’re sent to find a missing billionaire on a remote island that happens to be a “cannibal-infested hell.” Craft, build and do your best to survive alone or with friends in an open world full of dangers.
The coolest part is how the game is played is entirely up to you. You won’t have NPCs telling you what to do or handing out quests you don’t want to do.
You’ll never be truly safe in this place, as there are all kinds of mutated creatures, some human-like and some even scarier. In order to fight against enemies, you will use a variety of weapons for protection, such as axes, pistols, stun prods, spears, etc.
Wood is one of the most important resources in the game, as you’ll need it to keep your fire lit and build your cabin – or even your compound. You’ll need to gather food, and as the seasons change, so will the diet. Don’t try to survive alone unless you want to, as it’s more fun to share resources with friends and build defenses together.
We are really looking forward to trying it out.
Children of the Forest will enter Steam Early Access on February 23.
