Finally! Civilization 7 reveals real gameplay from the Nintendo Switch version, allowing us to see if the version falls short visually.
Strategy game fans can rejoice: Civilization 7 will debut on multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, on February 11. After the unexpected success of Civilization 6 On this console, it was almost inevitable that this new work would also be available on the Switch at launch. A first look at Civilization 7 on Nintendo Switch
During the recent Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, fans were able to get a glimpse of the gameplay of Civilization 7 on the Nintendo Switch. Although the graphics are significantly less detailed compared to other versions on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, the gaming experience should remain faithful to the expectations of fans of the series. This graphical compromise allows the Switch to run this demanding title while maintaining fluid gameplay. The result seems very honorable.
New gameplay trailer revealed highlighting some of the new features of Civilization 7including the New Ages system and redesigned rulers. Among the leaders revealed, we discover Queek Himiko, a new addition to the series. The trailer also touches on multiplayer options, both online and local, offering players various ways to compete or collaborate.
Civilization 7 uses the solid foundations that have made the series successful while introducing new mechanics to enrich the experience. The game continues to feature turn-based gameplay in which players build and manage a civilization across different eras, from ancient times to the future. Each turn brings with it crucial strategic decisions. For example, resource management, territorial expansion, diplomacy with other civilizations, and military conflict.
Civilization 7 will be released simultaneously on multiple platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
