2K Games and Firaxis have finally announced when we will see the first gameplay of Civilization VII. The date shouldn’t really surprise anyone, however, as it falls on a major event in the gaming industry.
Okay, enough of the nebulous preface: The first gameplay of Civilization VII will be presented to us during the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2024. The event, held by Geoff Keighley, starts on August 20, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
Experience has shown that individual titles are only given a short amount of time there, which is why Firaxis and 2K Games immediately announced a 20-minute deep dive. This will also take place on August 20, 2024 at 10:30 p.m. on the Fixaxis Twitch Channel will be broadcast. If you are at the fair yourself, there is even more good news. Civilization VII will be playable for the first time at Gamescom 2024.
Maybe we’ll get a release date at Opening Night Live. Because at the moment we don’t know anything about it. Civilization VII is currently being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
