Although it’s unclear how those sales are split across the three versions (PS5, Xbox Series, and PC), the figures on Steam show that Clear obscure: Expedition 33 had an excellent debut on PC.

Over the weekend, it reached 121,422 concurrent players, an impressive number considering it doesn’t account for those playing through PC Game Pass, where it’s available from day one.

A Fantasy World Inspired by the Belle Époque

Clear obscure: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG set in a fantasy world inspired by the Belle Époque.

The story follows Gustave and Maelle, two members of Expedition 33, as they try to stop the mysterious Peintresse—a figure who, each year, magically erases everyone of a specific age by painting a number on the Monolith. Now, it’s the turn of those aged 33, and time is running out.

The game blends turn-based strategy with real-time action mechanics, allowing players to dodge, block, and counterattack during battles while freely aiming at enemy weak points.

It offers deep party customization through skills, equipment, and character synergies, all supported by a stunning visual presentation powered by Unreal Engine 5. If you’re already playing, we encourage you to check out our wiki, guides, and builds.
