While no exact release date for Diablo 4 is known, more and more details about Diablo 4 are coming to light. For example, numerous scenes from a closed beta phase are leaked. But the developers themselves are also providing fans with new information and are now talking about classes and skills in the upcoming action role-playing game in a video.
If, like Sascha, you’re skeptical about the future of Diablo or the genre in general, here’s why Diablo inventor David Brevik has a completely different opinion:

This is how classes and build should be fun
If you would like to see the new developer video for yourself, you can tune in here, for everyone else we summarize the most important points below.

Freedom without too much complexity
You should be able to play the individual classes in your own way, but the choices should not overwhelm the players. With necromancers, for example, the Book of the Dead ensures that you can customize the summoned servants as you wish. In this way, you can use your very own strategy in battle without having to carry out many additional actions.
Passive abilities, the enchantments, should also allow different playstyles, for example with the sorceress, without overtaxing players with too many active abilities. By the way, you can find all classes of Diablo 4 and their most important features in our overview:

Orientation in the skill tree
This approach is also followed in the skill trees. Here you want to find the balance between freedom of choice and beginner-friendliness. For example, not all fire sorceresses should have to use the same skills, but putting together your own build shouldn’t be too time-consuming at the same time. As in Diablo 2, skills should be related to others and partially strengthen them or benefit from them.
In order to find such synergies and to make it easier to work out builds, you can search for certain keywords in the skill tree, such as bleed damage
or look for something similar. Then all matching skills will be highlighted.
Reset skill
If you are not satisfied with your build, you can also reset individual spent skill points or all your skills at once, but you have to pay gold for it. At the beginning of the game, the costs are still minimal, which should also encourage you to experiment with different skills and find out your own preferences.
Later in the game, however, red istributing skill points becomes more and more expensive. This is meant to give meaning to the decisions you make when building your character, and to build a bond with him, since at some point you won’t be able to change him at will all the time. In addition, the builds should no longer be as dependent on the right equipment as in Diablo 3 and be more closely linked to your character.
Learn more about Diablo 4
One of the most controversial features of Diablo 4 will probably be the real money shop. Maurice explains whether Pay2Win is waiting for you here like in Diablo Immortal and what can be bought:

Diablo 4 without Pay2Win? – How bad is the shop going?
Diablo 2: Resurrected recently showed why Diablo 4 wants to become more restrictive in terms of item trading. With all the partly justified worries about monetization strategies and other possible weaknesses of Diablo 4, however, Fabiano misses mentioning a very big strength of the upcoming action role-playing game.
