New Zealand Marouflage
Unfortunately for us Call of Duty: Black Ops 6didn’t offer early access… However, it takes more for US players to give up! Since Activision didn’t give us early access, we’re doing it ourselves.
As a reminder: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25th. OR, October 25th doesn’t fall at the same time everywhere in the world! Let me explain! Due to the time difference, some regions of the world start the day of October 25th earlier than us, for example in New Zealand.
When October 25th starts there, it’s 1 p.m. here! This is where the fun begins and fun is allowed. Here’s the trick!
Change settings
Like any good Animal Crossing player would do, simply change the time and region in your settings! Here are the steps you need to follow for each platform, outlined by our colleagues at GamingIntel:
Xbox
- In the Xbox dashboard, go to Settings.
- Select System.
- Click the Location drop-down menu and select New Zealand.
- Select English (New Zealand) as the language region.
- To apply the changes, click the Restart Now button.
- Visit the official Call of Duty website
- Click “Sign In” in the top right of the screen.
- Sign in with your Activision address
- Click the profile name in the top right, then select Basic Information from the drop-down list
- Next to Address, click Edit
- Choose a New Zealand address
- Save
PlayStation
- Go to the Call of Duty website
- Log in to your Call of Duty account
- Click on your profile and select “Basic Information”
- Enter an address in New Zealand
- Make sure the changes are saved and load Black Ops 6
PC (Game Pass ONLY)
Unfortunately, this trick only works on PC with the Xbox app. Here are the steps to follow according to Dexerto:
- Go to Windows Settings.
- Go to “Time and Language.”
- Select “Region”.
- Change your region to New Zealand.
- Restart your PC.
- Sign in to the Xbox app again and the currency should appear in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
- Go to the Call of Duty website and repeat the steps above to change your Activision account region.
And there you have it, that’s it! Use this tip to get your hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 starting October 24th at 1:00 PM PST!
