CoD Warzone 2 is not long in coming: While MW2 will be released on October 28th, the Battle Royale will be launched almost two weeks later on November 16th. The opinions on the previous information differ greatly.
Here we explain why Warzone 2 is a step backwards for some fans, but at the same time takes a significant step forward for others. You can also find the trailer for MW2 and Warzone 2 right here:

The controversial points
Activision cannot be accused of one thing: that Warzone 2 does not try to implement anything new into the game. Some things differ significantly from the predecessor. While some praise the variety, others fear the changes can become disruptive. One of the innovations is the Map Al Mazrah. You can take a closer look at the map in the following photo gallery:

No loadout drops
Warzone 2 has no loadout drops whatsoever. This means that you don’t have the opportunity to prepare your loadout in detail before the match and then order a package with your specific loadout in the game with enough in-game currency. Instead, like in most other Battle Royale shooters, you will have to loot in the classic way or buy your modified weapons individually in shops. There will be no perks for the release of Warzone 2.
Streamer Repullze welcomes the change, as do many of his followers.

CoD insider Hope is against it anything but enthusiastic. In his view, the absence of loadout drops leads to more selfish team players.

Loot system à la Blackout
Another controversy is the new loot system in Warzone 2. When you open a box, the items no longer fly out of the box like in the predecessor. This way you could quickly take whatever you like. Instead, Warzone 2 opens a window listing the weapons and items. The system is reminiscent of the Battle Royale from Black Ops 4, Blackout.
Here, too, opinions are divided. Ryan B. sees this as a huge win for the shooter, especially Blackout fans.

BennyCentral, on the other hand, feels it feels like a step backwards, among other criticisms.

Further changes
Those are too far from the only changesthat will await you in Warzone 2. There are now 2v2 fights in the Gulag, there are also NPC opponents running around on the new map Al Mazrah and the zones are now divided into several areas. You can find out all the information that was available during the live show CoD Next in our summary:

All information about the new map, the new Gulag and much more
After the Reveal event on September 16, the user Modern Warzone started a survey on Twitter about how the Battle Royale was received so far: Almost 59 percent of almost 34,000 votes are positive, rounded off by 41 percent negative.

How the shooter will ultimately arrive at the release is of course still unclear. So far, only the multiplayer for MW2 could be played in the beta, so the opinions on Warzone 2 are based purely on information from Activision.
