Blackwood, the new expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, is available. On this occasion we will take stock of the content, economic model and accessibility of the MMORPG. Here are 5 things you should know!
Between regular updates and availability
Released in 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online has expanded its content over the years. Five extensions – in the form of chapters – have emerged in particular and enabled MMROPG players to visit – or revisit – the universe of canonical episodes of the Bethesda franchise like Morrowind or Skyrim. A level scaling system and universal tutorial introduced with the last Update 30 promise an accessible experience for newbies.
Back to oblivion
The Elder Scrolls Online offered a new chapter called Blackwood a few days ago. 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it takes place in several new locations known to fans such as Blackwood, an escort system, new dungeons and hiding spots to explore, as well as special events such as the Portals of Oblivion, passages that lead to the Dead Land, the kingdom of Mérunès Dagon, a new major threat to the game.
The Elder Scrolls Online – Blackwood is already available on PC, Mac and Stadia and is also expected on June 8th on Xbox One and PS4, then on June 15th on Xbox Series and PS5 via a Console Enhanced version.
