Kalypso Media announced today the creation of a new developer studio. The third internal studio is now called Claymore Game Studios and is now dedicated to the future of the real-time tactics franchise Commandos.
The new developer is named after the successful command mission of the British Armed Forces in World War II, namely "Operation Claymore" (1941). The studio is located in the city center of Darmstadt, which means that potential new employees can also be easily reached from the metropolitan areas of Rhein-Main and Rhein-Neckar in the future.
There is already a core team of experienced developers under the direction of Studio Director Jürgen Reußwig. This core team is now laying the foundations for the completely new Commandos. The studio is to be expanded considerably until the start of production, which is why Kalypso has advertised a number of positions for dedicated developers.
The new Commandos is due to be released for PC and next-gen consoles. Further details will follow at a later date.
