Just before gamescom, there is fresh gameplay for Commandos: Origins, which will also be released for other platforms. Last-gen fans have reason to be happy!
The former successful Commandos series is returning in a new guise with the prequel Commandos: Origins – that was already known. In the run-up to gamescom 2024, Kalypso Media has now released fresh gameplay in the form of a trailer, which developer Claymore Game Studios will also be showing at the Cologne trade fair. You will also be able to find the game in playable form at the Xbox stand in Hall 7.
There is also positive news regarding the platforms: The title, which has so far been announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, will now also be released for the last-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the developers, this decision is based on the extensive community feedback they have received. Claymore Game Studios hopes to reach a wider audience in this way.
Commandos: Origins, which is intended to tell the beginnings of the Commandos story as a prequel, will be released in 2024; there is no specific release date yet. However, one thing is certain: Xbox Game Pass subscribers will benefit from the release, as the real-time tactics title will be included directly in the game subscription.
