Competition for “Summer House of the Stars”? These are the differences to the reality hit “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany”!

Lovers of reality formats have been following the successful format “Summer House of the Stars – Battle of the Celebrity Couples” on RTL for eight seasons. Eight celebrity couples are fighting for the title of “Celebrity Couple of the Year” and for considerable prize money. Now, however, streamer Joyn is coming around the corner with “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany” and is giving the summer house considerable competition. The format originally comes from Austria and lets different celebrities compete against each other in teams.

The rules are the rules

In both the “Sommerhaus der Stars” and “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany” the participants have to stay together in a small space for several weeks. The new Joyn format also includes important house rules that participants must adhere to in order to avoid punishment. The stars are ordered to wear the microphone at all times, not to throw anything over the balcony railing or not to sleep during the day.

To ensure compliance with the rules, a pair of “head foresters” must be elected every few days. They are responsible for ensuring that the house is clean, the rules are followed and arguments are kept to a minimum. If the rules are broken, the punishment is severe.

Mating instead of couples

The pairs are probably the biggest difference between the two formats. While in “Summer House of the Stars” the focus is on how the celebrity lovers survive time and whether they are subject to the “Summer House” curse or not, in “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany” a wide variety of pairings can compete. For example, with Matthias Mangiapane it is his mother, who is inexperienced with TV, or with Diego Sangre, it is his best friend Kevin “Flocke” Platzer.

Of course, the viewers of the “Sommerhaus” are looking forward to the bickering between the celebrity couples. However, the first season of “Forsthaus” shows that these bickerings also arise in other pairings and are at least as entertaining. In addition to some couples, singles also take part in the “Forsthaus”, who even have the opportunity to find new love or at least a little fun in this format.

Celebrity couple of the year vs Rampensau Germany

The contestants’ biggest goal isn’t just airtime. The winning couple will receive a considerable amount of winnings in both TV formats, which can be divided between them. Since “Sommerhaus der Stars” has already proven over eight seasons that the viewer numbers are impressive, the winnings are also considerable. At “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany” the prize money is 25,000 dollars. In the “Summer House of the Stars” it is twice as much at 50,000 dollars.

“In-out games” and “exit games”

In both reality formats, the couples regularly have to choose another couple that they no longer want in the house. The couples with the most votes have to worry about their place. The “sawing” in the “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany” culminates in the “in-out game” in which the candidates fight against each other and the losers have to leave the house.

In the “Summer House of the Stars” the challenge is called the “Exit” game. But RTL’s direction has often opted for surprises. The couples with the most nominations were thrown out without an exit game or were allowed to stay in the house despite many nominations.

Anyone who likes “Sommerhaus der Stars” will certainly have a lot of fun with “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany” despite some differences.
