Dangerous profit notice
Phishing emails with the theme "Congratulations-you are our winner" are currently contacting us particularly frequently. Assuming you are the winner of the competition, you should now disclose your personal information. You need to be extra careful here.
Netzwelt readers forwarded countless phishing emails on behalf of Edeka, Lidl and other supermarkets in April. In this topic, you have been informed that you have been selected as the winner of the competition. Most readers say they have never participated in the competition.
Fake sweepstakes are a popular scam on the Internet-in this case too. Let's take a closer look at the email text:
Congratulations!

There are few exceptions in the text. There are usually spelling errors or incorrect wording. You can determine whether the match email is phishing by the sender address and the link on the page. There is no indication here that this is actually a competition among supermarkets.
Your own behavior will be certain in phishing
Of course, if you observe your behavior, phishing is particularly reliable. If you have not participated in the competition recently, you can of course ignore this message. Google search or Netzwelt search can also help you evaluate phishing emails.
If you are still unsure, you can forward the phishing email to us at any time. We have created an email address to help us report new scams.
