The ARD political program “Kontraste” is a time-critical background magazine that covers the undiscovered or forgotten scandals reported around Berlin. Here we take a look at the victims of corruption, discrimination and violence, as well as general discussion about contemporary historical issues in Germany. The politics magazine was first broadcast on ARD in 1968 and originally focused on East-West issues.

The show is currently being broadcast on TV on ARD and tagesschau24. The program can also be streamed online in the ARD media library, the ZDF media library or on YouTube.
