Actually, the so-called Ultimate Edition from Control should have been available, but as is well known, it did not become. The specially optimized version for the new PS5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles was unceremoniously postponed to the coming year 2021, but initially had no specific date. But that has now changed.
Developer Remedy has now confirmed that the paranormal sci-fi action adventure will be available for both platforms from February 2, 2021 – but initially only in digital form. A classic retail aka box version is to follow a month later from March 2, 2021.
What exactly do you get in the Ultimate Edition? Control receives visual upgrades here and also offers you the choice between two modes: a performance mode with 60 fps, which will still offer 4K resolution, or a graphics mode, which then only offers 30 fps, but with Ray- Enables tracing.
The next-gen upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S were originally planned for the console launch in November.
AWE is the second major story DLC for Control. It was supposed to serve as a grandiose conclusion to the story and shed light on the connections between Control and Alan Wake. But unfortunately the DLC lacks pretty much everything.
