Most of the features in the current closed beta of Riot's tactical shooter Valorant are not really new – including wallbanging, which means the ability to hit opponents through designated walls. This technology is also available in CS: GO, Rainbow Six: Siege and Co. Many Valorant players are extremely dissatisfied with the current state of the feature.
There are numerous places on Valorant's maps where your agent can shoot through walls. This is not a bug, but a feature – in the eyes of the game balance, some players don't really get it right yet. The following clip shows At what absurd distance a wall bang can work
I don't think the wallbang should be like that from r / VALORANT
Wallbangs with full damage? As noted several times in the thread discussion, the head hit did all the damage, even though it went through walls. It is initially unclear whether this is an error in the calculation or the whole thing is really intended as such. Many users believe that damage should be deducted, otherwise wallbanging would be to OP. The opponent has little chance of escaping such a hidden and far-reaching attack.
How does wallbanging work in Valorant? The wallbangs work best with the sniper rifle "Operator", you should also succeed with an assault rifle. There are some places on all three maps where you can shoot through the walls particularly easily. You can find a good overview in Mein-MMO's wallbang guide.
Sometimes it is difficult for players to differentiate between the intended wallbangs and the illegal wallhacks of cheaters. To prevent the latter, Riot relies on the anti-cheat system »Vanguard«.

The balance of Valorant will of course be refined during the beta phase. Some particularly serious bugs and exploits have been fixed in the last update. The currently strongest agent, Raze, will soon be generated.
