We still don’t know when Fallout season 2 will be released, but it probably won’t be that far away as filming is apparently set to begin soon.
The first season of Prime Video’s adaptation of Fallout was a hit, and I’m not exaggerating, as it was recently announced that it was the streaming service’s second-biggest show after Ring of Power . So it’s no surprise that many people who watched it wanted a second season as soon as they saw it. The show’s producers set some reasonable expectations for the upcoming episodes, but didn’t share anything particularly specific. But in a recent interview with Screen Rant at New York Comic Con, Leslie Uggams, who played supervisor Betty Pearson in the first season, revealed when filming for the second season will begin.

“It was an amazing show. I was with the Vault people, so I didn’t see what the Earth people were doing,” Ugams shared. “So when it came out, I was blown away. But Betty has some secrets. Stay tuned.” When asked if filming for Season 2 had already begun, Ugams said: “We started filming in November. “I’m excited about it.” It’s obviously going to be a lot sooner than you might expect, given how long TV production takes these days, and considering the first season only aired earlier this year, but it’s a great opportunity for those who are hoping for a second season. This is undoubtedly good news for those who think that the second season is not too far away.
That doesn’t mean you should expect it to release in 2025, like I said, TV is taking a while now (too long, if you ask me), but it could still be off to a strong start. Regardless, I’m sure it will be released at least before Fallout 5 launches, and there will be more updates for Fallout 76, so there’s plenty to keep you busy.
