PUBG's latest console update has been released on PTS, and cross-platform gatherings have followed.
PUBG Cross-platform support was added to PS4 and Xbox One last October. Although the console player pool is united, developers have not allowed friends on different platforms to play together.
The ability to create cross-platform gatherings for patch 6.2 is finally available on the console test server. The feature was launched to the wider community on a live server on Wednesday, February 26.
The in-game buddy list has been completely reformed, making cross-pl atform gatherings possible. In addition to the new look and extensions, the list now allows players to find anyone's name on any platform, send them friend requests, and play with them while they're online.
Like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and other games with crossover games, all players essentially have two separate buddy lists: one for friends who track the same platform, and one for everyone else. The list also shows recent players, which may come from any platform.
Patch 6.2 also brings Team Deathmatch to the console for the first time. Exactly the same as the version on the PC.
