At the beginning of last year, we were able to enjoy an anime that, although many initially viewed it with rejection, ended up being one of the best productions of the year: Trigun Stampede. He reboot Yasuhiro Nightow’s work was a real success and, a year and a half later, its sequel has finally been made official.
Through the Los Angeles Anime Expo, Crunchyroll has announced together with Studio Orange the development of Stargazing Triguna direct sequel to Stampede that will closely follow Vash and company two and a half years after what was seen in the 2023 animated series.
It is important to remember that Trigun Stampede was a prequel of sorts to the events most audiences know, so it’s likely that Stargaze will adapt the most famous moments from the original work. Additionally, Nightow will be quite involved in the project, suggesting an adaptation more faithful to his original vision.
Although a good amount of information has been provided, Crunchyroll has not wanted to risk setting a release date. Therefore, we will have to wait to find out when we can enjoy the new episodes of this series, which aims to be one of the big releases of 2025.
