In an unexpected announcement that no one saw, Cursed Shadow is being reworked. That’s a big deal considering the original game is no longer available; it was pulled from both Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2020. However, now it’s back in a remastered form.

Twelve years after Shadow of the Damned released on the Xbox 360 (among other platforms), the original development team behind the game – Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacturer – are back to remake the 2011 game. Now, I can only hope that Akira Yamaoka returns to score too!

A trailer was released on June 8, which initially appeared to celebrate Shadow of the Damned’s anniversary. The trailer opens with Grasshopper Manufacturer Community Manager James R. Mountain talking about the game. Soon, however, he’s interrupted by Shadow of the Damned protagonist Garcia Tottenham, who’s on his way to execute an office shootout.

Of course, the trailer then ends with the announcement of a remake of Shadow of the Damned, apparently “coming soon”.Those eager to learn more will be able to tune in to Grasshopper Manufacturer’s own direct presentation June 14.

You can watch it on the official Grasshopper Archives YouTube channel 9:00 PM PST, 12:00 AM EST, 1:00 PM JST, 5:00 AM BST, and 6:00 AM CST exist June 14.
