The world is currently in a corona crisis. The virus is still spreading rapidly, which is why many countries have strict regulations. If possible, we should all stay at home and avoid socializing. The heat map from Tectonix GEO shows in an impressive way what happens if we don't stick to it.
The company, along with X-Mode Social, created a heat map based on anonymous phone data, a chart for data visualization. This can be used to track where people are and how they are moving. Select Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida as a starting point to show how fast coronaviruses are spreading in most parts of the United States. Many people come here during the spring break in March.
Then Tectonix GEO showed the whereabouts of mobile phone users in the next few weeks. The result: people traveled across most of the East Coast, and occasionally across the rest of the United States. It soon became clear what would happen if social distance was not respected.
