Focus Home Interactive and developer Passtech today officially announced the new Rogue-lite Curse of the Dead Gods. The action role-playing game will soon be available as an early access version on Steam, namely on March 3, 2020. A release date for the finished version 1.0 was not yet given.
In the game you should work your way deeper and deeper into a cursed temple, where bottomless pits, deadly traps and of course all sorts of monsters await you. The graphic style is a bit more comic, but the view and gameplay should essentially be reminiscent of the big competitors from Blizzard.
Accordingly, you can collect all sorts of mystical relics and a whole arsenal of weapons – read: loot – to reinforce your character and be prepared for better opponents. Logically, this also includes a large number of boss opponents.
According to a statement by the developers, the initially available early access version should comprise around a third of the game that will be finished later. As in Diablo, there should be a lot of randomly generated content, so that there should always be something new to discover in this part of the game. Numerous further updates and new content are planned in the coming months.
