Scenes not retained for the final version of The Last of Us Part II have been revealed. Several sequences that could have been playable with a pissed off and different looking Ellie.
In the cinema, as in video games, content is regularly deleted before the final version. And The Last of Us 2 knows something about it. Unseen footage has just surfaced, almost two years after the game was released by Naughty Dog. Attention spoilers!!!!

The Youtuber speculatorwith the help of a videographer angel-gbcdatamined sequences that were not preserved in the final version of The Last of Us 2. Game director Neil Druckmann explained one of them to Troy Baker, Joel’s voice actor.
One of the scenes that was practically in the box would have seen Ellie relentlessly chasing a boar for food. But not only. In fact, due to her post-traumatic stress caused by the extremely brutal death of Joel, she would have had an irrepressible urge to kill the animal. After the warthog was cold butchered, she would have heard Joel’s cries of pain as it died. So why delete this so close to the point? Neil Druckmann cites “tempo and production” reasons.
The scene at the local ball where Ellie and Dina kiss was obviously meant to be interactive. As? We do not know. On the other hand, Ellie’s model is different in the video. She would have had a tighter haircut than what she has at the end of the game.
An Exploration of the City of Jackson
Presumably, the first version of Jackson’s City was intended to give players more freedom of exploration. A building would have made the turn to the main road. In the end it was decided to compress this passage and make the party sequence unplayable. Minor deletions. Last year players also discovered hidden details and we were able to see the gameplay of an alpha version. Are there more mysteries to unravel?
