Cyberpunk 2077 also withdrawn from March Xbox? CD Projekt RED answers (update)

The press agency Reuters committed to contacting CD Projekt RED to ask if Microsoft also intended to withdraw Cyberpunk 2077 from the Xbox games in March, preventing Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S players who have not already done so can purchase a digital version of the game. On its website, Reuters published the answer from Adam Kicinski: the CEO of the Polish studio:

We are not currently in discussions with Microsoft on this matter.

Therefore, at the time of this writing, it is expected that the game will remain available in a dematalized (and physical) version on Xbox consoles. This situation seems to indirectly confirm that the decision to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store was made by Sony and not CD Projekt RED. If it had, the studio behind the RPG would have removed it from the Microsoft platform as well.

It is of course not entirely impossible that Microsoft may decide to make the game temporarily unavailable. One way or another, the Cyberpunk 2077 affair is likely to take more turns in the coming weeks and months.
