The long wait isn’t over for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s clear that an expansion will come at some point, but that will probably take a while. But: a Dataminer has discovered some initial details.
Something seems to have gone wrong again. A dataminer has apparently discovered a lot of information about an upcoming DLC in connection with the Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.5, which was apparently unintentionally installed together with the patch, and cheerfully shared it on Reddit. Even if the thread and the associated files have already been deleted, the information quickly made the rounds among cyberpunk gossips (and uncles).
Based on the leaked information, everything seems to revolve around new story missions in the Pacifica area, seven in total. Pacifica is run by the Voodoo Boys, a gang of netrunners who prefer a life outside of corporations and government.
Apparently you take on the role of a new character named Songbird and explore previously inaccessible areas of Pacifica, such as the Sports Dome or the new Combat Zone. The story is said to be set before the end of the main game and has multiple endings. Johnny Silverhand is apparently not supposed to play a role, which is hardly surprising given the potential cost of Keanu Reeves appearing again.
Is all of this correct? Let’s see, an expansion of the game is currently planned for 2023, so everything could turn out very differently.
