Cyberpunk 2077 Developer Details How Cross-Saves Work for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
Developer CD Projekt Red have shared on their official website how console players will be able to transfer their Cyberpunk 2077 game progress from Playstation 4 and Xbox One to next-gen consoles.
Even though Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S have been released, consoles have been in short supply since their launch earlier this month. But the good news for Cyberpunk 2077 players is that they won’t have to wait to get their hands on the next generation of console, to start playing the Action-RPG.
Those who pick up the new console after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, will be able to transfer their Playstation 4 and Xbox One saves, and continue their game progress on their brand new console (PS4 to PS5, Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S).
For those on Xbox One, they’ll be able to take advantage of the Smart Delivery system on Xbox Series X|S to transfer their progress using the save data they’ve uploaded to the cloud. Another way to transfer is by connecting their old console and new console together on the same network, then use the system network transfer option.
For those on Playstation 4, there will be three ways to transfer their save files to Playstation 5. Playstation Plus members can upload their save files to the cloud, use a LAN cable to copy their files from one console to another or use WiFi, as well ass use a physical USB hard-drive to move their PS4 save to their PS5 which uses the same account.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 10th.
