Anyone who has not yet resorted to the sci-fi epic Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt RED, the creators of the Witcher, may now be considering postponing a purchase until 2023. Then there should be a Game of the Year Edition of the game.
CD Projekt RED will also launch a Game of the Year Edition of Cyberpunk 2077, just like you know from the Witcher series. Adam Kicinski, the CEO of the development studio, has now confirmed corresponding plans for the coming year 2023 at a meeting with investors, although a public announcement is still pending.
The release of this comprehensive edition is set to follow the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion and another major update – and will then include all published content for the sci-fi RPG.
According to Kicinski, it is “the natural order of things” that such an edition of Cyberpunk 2077 is also launched. He uses the GotY Edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as a reference, which was released after the two expansions “Blood & Wine” and “Hearts of Stone” were released.
Referring to the full-length edition of the fantasy RPG, he goes on to say, “This has been on the market consistently ever since. The same can be expected in this case.”
The release date and the exact scope of this final edition of Cyberpunk 2077, which should then remain on the market in the long term, remain unclear. The only thing that is certain is that the only planned major expansion “Phantom Liberty” will be represented in the version that will then be permanently available. A report by Stockwatch.pl out.
