When looking at the current Steam Charts, some might get a little nostalgic: Two years after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 is back in the top sellers and Modern Warfare 2 can even be seen twice! Of course, the latter isn’t the 2009 title, but the latest installment in the Call of Duty series, the beta for PlayStation users starting last weekend. The Steam deck has been the undisputed number 1 bestseller for quite some time – but its successors are much more exciting, which we are now taking a closer look at.
Cyberpunk 2077 is experiencing its second spring
After update 1.6, Cyberpunk 2077 not only catapulted itself back to number 2 of the best-selling games on Steam, but also secured number 1 of the most played single-player games. The role-playing game currently has around 46,000 simultaneous players, yesterday (September 18, 2022) there were even over 65,000.
A significant part of this success we have most likely contributed to the Steam sale: Cyberpunk 2077 is currently 50 percent cheaper for 29.99 dollars.
The new update 1.6 also brought new content to Night City just in time for the series start of the cyberpunk anime Edgerunners on Netflix. In addition to weapons, clothing and free gigs, there is also the long-awaited transmog system by fans.
So if you’ve missed Cyberpunk 2077 so far and are looking forward to the upcoming story DLC Phantom Liberty If you want to prepare, now is the best time to get started. You can see the trailer for the new Netflix series Edgerunners here:
