The PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 is still one of the biggest graphics failures in the industry. Thanks to some mods, this 8K video proves this to us in an impressive way.
With Cyberpunk 2077 on the PC, CD Projekt RED showed us how great its talent is to flatter our retinas. Thanks to NVIDIA’s latest technologies used in Phantom Liberty, this observation is even more meaningful. Add something else to the mix to push the realism of the game to the extreme and you have a real ” Stunning » !
When fiction trumps reality in Cyberpunk 2077
From the start, Cyberpunk 2077 has been a way for NVIDIA to showcase its latest technologies. DLSS 3.5, Ray Tracing or even Reflex, the CD Projekt RED title lacked nothing to impress us. The only game that can compete with this is Alan Wake 2. Except that there are three years between the release of one and the other. However, Night City continues to surprise us and becomes even more beautiful as time goes on!
This great video from Digital Dreams proves it to us by pushing all graphics settings to their limits. Shot in 8k and supported by impressive mods, it almost makes us forget we’re in a game at times (well, the character doesn’t have a head when he looks at himself in the reflection, but…). The mods in question are aptly named to deliver a masterful graphical slap in the face. The first is a mod that aims to make ray tracing extremely realistic. This makes it possible to display realistic reflections on vehicles. The second is a ReShade called Photorealistic Night City. That speaks for itself, because a dystopian city practically screams for realism.
Cyberpsycho’s bike required
Unfortunately, you have to be an extremely wealthy cyberpunk to be able to afford the bike to run the game in such conditions. As shown in the video thumbnail, an RTX 4090 is essential. The other parts of the car are not cheap either. Rely on a Ryzen 9 7950X, 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz RAM and a very robust M.2 NVMe SSD.
Regardless, thanks to Digital Dreams we’re entitled to a nine-minute escape into Mike Pondsmith’s fascinating dystopian future, CD Projekt RED-style. This serves to better recognize that living in Night City, as beautiful as it is, will ultimately not be good.
