Despite all perhaps more pressing problems, CD Projekt RED has a plan with regard to Cyberpunk 2077: Players should also be able to enjoy fresh game content as quickly as possible.
In the run-up to the publication of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED had emphasized that they wanted to add additional content to the sci-fi role-playing game. In view of numerous other problems, especially on PS4 and Xbox One, this topic has taken a back seat at first – until now.
While gamers have so far had to wonder whether fixing existing problems would ultimately lead to DLC content appearing later than initially planned, the all-clear now seems to have been given in this regard. The developers now have the game on the official website opened a new section on DLC. There you can read: “Free DLCs will land in Night City from the beginning of 2021. More information about this soon!”
In short: the planned time frame for a release from the beginning of the new year apparently remains intact; there will be no major delays. However, the Witcher makers are currently not letting any more specific details from the stack, what exactly the free additional content is about. From purely cosmetic items to valuable story missions, anything seems possible at the moment.
If the developers stay true to their direction of The Witcher 3, then the free DLCs should possibly bring new side quests including cosmetic items to be earned and possibly new combat animations. We’ll keep you up to date!
