After a long period of radio silence, the time has come: The next big patch for Cyberpunk 2077 is in the starting blocks. Update 1.3 is coming “very, very soon”, aims to improve loads of problems in the game and brings Night City free DLCs for the first time. So, now you know, we’ll see u … oh, you want to know what’s up with the DLCs and improvements? Okay, let’s have a look.
But an important warning: On page 1 of this article we concentrate on the most important improvements, on page 2 you will find all the patch notes from CD Projekt, but the spoilers contain!
If you haven’t played Cyberpunk 2077 yet and want to take a fresh look at it, then avoid the patch notes. Alternatively, you can take a look at CD Projekt yourself, the spoilers are folded in there. So, enough preliminary skirmish.
Cyberpunk 2077: The most important new features of Patch 1.3
Basically, Patch 1.3 should make people happy who are already playing Cyberpunk 2077 or are considering doing it. The update neither fundamentally changes the previous game, nor does it reinvent all the areas that disappointed many people at the launch. Even the first DLCs should elicit a “nice bonus” rather than a real joyful somersault.

This is how Europe developers rate the problematic release of Cyberpunk 2077
On the other hand the patch notes are dozens of pages long and address hundreds of problems individual people have raised over the months. They are mainly fixes for active fans, not for those who are frightened.
- Overworked sneak: The stealth system is noticeably expanded. How guards react to you now differs depending on the level of difficulty. At high levels of hardness, the AI now acts much more aggressively if you behave conspicuously.
- Improved minimap: Demanded by many fans, previously only solvable as a mod, but now also officially – the mini map now zooms out further while driving, so that you can navigate more easily and orientate yourself better.
- Smarter cops: The police will continue to improve. For example, cops will no longer attack you if a corpse is lying around somewhere. Who knows how that got there? In addition, you now get on your hat if you attack passers-by with non-lethal weapons.
- Less calls: The fact that fixers call you every five minutes to turn on V cars can be annoying. That’s why it happens less often now.
- V rotate: You can now look at your V in the inventory completely freely, so change the point of view with the mouse as in most role-playing games. A long overdue feature to properly appreciate your cool clothes.
- Better markings: It is now clear whether you have already defused a landmine. Vital difference.
- Skye or Angel: Many people have complained that you hardly have time to look at the options in the Doll Quest. That is different now.
- Redistribute skills: A button has been added that allows you to redistribute your benefit points.
-
Some Perks have been fixed and work properly now.
-
aside from that Dozens of quest fixes, all of which can be found in the detailed patch notes on page 2.
What do the first free DLCs offer?
Patch 1.3 contains three free DLCs, which you have to activate in the game. Specifically, it is:
- New look for Johnny: You can make Mister Silverhand look different now. Simply activate the alternative skin in the menu under bonus content.
- Two new jackets: The synthetic leather deltajock jacket and the glowing punk jacket can now be activated in the game. After the quest The Joyride you will receive a message from Viktor and you will also receive schemes for the production of higher quality levels.
- New vehicle: The Archer Quartz Bandit will be available to you either for purchase or as a reward after completing the Ghost Town quest. You have to leave Dakota’s workshop and wait a few days for a message from Dakota or Rogue.
You will surely notice: The three cosmetic DLCs alone will probably not bring mad cyberpunk fans back on board to Night City (does a boat go to Night City at all?). On the other hand, with the fixes, CD Projekt addresses precisely those construction sites that the active community is currently discussing again and again.
The patch notes are therefore gigantic. We will look at the patch ourselves and provide you with a conclusion as soon as possible.
