News business Cyberpunk 2077 – The game is already profitable for CD Projekt Red
Cyberpunk 2077 has not been unanimous since its inception, be it on the part of the press or the gamers. This is due to the console versions that are far below the PC version, or the too many bugs that affect the gaming experience. Despite all these problems and this bad feedback, CD Projekt Red has already had problems with Cyberpunk 2077 and reimbursed the development costs.
As you can see from the report available HereCD Projekt Red claims that the profits from the pre-order sale of Cyberpunk 2077 have already exceeded the development and marketing costs for the game, meaning the title was profitable even be fore it was released. .
CD Projekt, headquartered in Warsaw, hereby announces that the estimated royalties to be received by the company in connection with the pre-order sale of Cyberpunk 2077 on all digital distribution channels has exceeded the sum of the following amounts:
- Total costs for game-related development;
- The game’s marketing and advertising costs are borne by the company – either already incurred or planned for the rest of 2020.
The Board of Directors has decided to disclose the above information in the form of a report due to its possible impact on investment decisions.
As a reminder, Cyberpunk 2077 has registered more than eight million pre-orders and managed to bring together a million players simultaneously on Steam.
