CD Projekt announced that users who purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One will receive the Xbox Series X upgrade for free after receiving the Xbox Series X upgrade.
The announcement was announced on Twitter after many new details about the Xbox Series X were revealed today.
Microsoft highlighted some technical indicators of the new system, confirming that the console will be twice as powerful as the Xbox One X-including the computing power of Target 12 TFLOPS and support for 120fps. The company also confirmed that existing Xbox One games, including forward-compatible Xbox 360 and original Xbox games, will be played on the new console.
The tweet links to Microsoft's announced Smart Delivery, a new technology that will allow backward compatibility.
"This technology enables you to buy one game at a time, and knows that whether you play games on the Xbox One or Xbox Series X, you get the right version of the game on the Xbox you play," Microsoft said.
Although the company will implement this feature for all of its own Xbox Game Studio products, it also offers other developers the possibility to implement this feature. CD Projekt was one of the first developers to announce its participation.
