Put on your neon sunglasses, throw a tantrum at the corporate machine, and blast synthwave: ghost walker 2 It’s real — it’s ready to stylishly split your favorite gaming rig and run it over with an unnecessarily loud motorcycle sometime later in 2023.
According to the press release, ghost walker 2 is a fitting sequel to the hit first-person action game. It’s set a year after Ghostrunner, with cyber ninja protagonist Jake emerging from the death trap of Da Mota for the first time to explore the vast wasteland beyond.
The studio notes that the original game’s “fast-paced push-forward combat” is intact in this version, and that the challenging gameplay from the original game is also making a welcome return.
“The sequel promises to up the ante of the original in every way possible, including vehicular combat when Jake heads out to the wasteland for the first time on his new motorcycle,” says a press release. Will this be when the CD Projekt Red game launches? The difficulties encountered, the cyberpunk fantasy that many people expected finally came true? Well, it might be too early to tell.
“Packed full of new powers, upgradeable abilities, traversal mechanics, expanded narrative, deeper worldbuilding and vicious new enemies, Ghostwalker 2 is the ultimate power fantasy…every kill earns,” The press release continued.
“Adapt and master the gameplay like only a cyber ninja. Don’t fantasize…the blood will flow.”
With a 93% user approval rating, the original game is highly rated on Steam and has sold over 500,000 copies. Think of it as a cross between Titanfall, Dishonored, and Superhot, and you’re in the right category. From what we’ve seen so far, the sequel looks to continue the same aesthetic.
