Dan Lai Street Fighter 5 Capcom announced that in February 2021, it was a little later than planned.

In the video message, Street Fighter 5 producer Shuhei Matsumoto confirmed that the developer is still working on the upcoming Season, but pointed out that the difficulties caused by Coivd-19 meant that the studio was slightly behind.
Matsumoto explained: “Due to the impact of Covid-19, 2020 is a difficult year, which has had a significant impact on our life and working style.”
“Ultimately, we have been adjusting our development style to prioritize the safety of the development team, its family and partners.
“At the same time, we are working hard to provide a level of quality that meets the content of the upcoming season 5.
“Our first character Dan is still planned for this winter and will be released in February. We understand that many of you are patiently waiting for the release of Season 5, we would like to report and we are working hard for you as soon as possible Provide this content.”
Dan is a notorious joke character in Street Fighter. He announced the game as early as September and plans to launch it in 2020.
It’s not a big delay to see him being delayed in 2021, but it’s nice to see Capcom communicate as much as possible on this issue.
Dan will be joined by four other characters from Season 5 of Street Fighter V: Rose, Oro, Akira and an unannounced character.
Rose will launch after Dan and enter the “Spring 2021” game.
